Bangladesh recently launched a central complaint management system (CCMS) to instill discipline in its e-commerce sector. Developed by the information and communication technology (ICT) division, the system will receive all complaints and address each within 10 working days. It will be added to the National Identity Card server to foil false complaints.
Customers can now lodge complaints against companies using options like Facebook.
The government has also introduced the Digital Business Identification (DBID) system. E-commerce companies cannot operate without obtaining this identification certificate.
