The real (price-adjusted) turnover of retail enterprises in Germany was 0.1 per cent lower and their nominal (not price-adjusted) turnover was 2.1 per cent higher, on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis, in March 2022 compared with February 2022, according to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
Retail turnover in real terms has thus stagnated from the beginning of the year as the decline in March offset the increase in February 2022 (+0.1 per cent on January 2022).
